Many of us now prefer to use HD PVR boxes to record the TV shows and movies that come on while we're not at home. As people will watch the PVR recording on their televisions, they seem to fail to transfer the recorded videos named with .pvr extension to their iPads, while transferring PVR to iPad would make it more convenient and enjoyable for watching and not limited by time and place. If by any means it works, being able to transfer HD PVR to iPad (including iPad 2, new iPad, and iPad mini) would be excellent for travelling or a morning commute.
So is there any ways can make this idea come true? Yes, of course! As I searched Google many times and testified that there’s a best solution to this problem, provided by Doremisoft. That is to convert PVR to iPad-friendly video format, such as MPEG-4/H.264 with a professional Video Converter (Video Converter for Mac) to help.
Turn on your HD PVR box and select the TV shows you’d like to record. Set the output video parameters and format then start recording till it finished.
Copy the PVR recordings to your computer by any means: either a USB cable or an SD card adapter is OK.
Download, install and launch the Video Converter (see the sponsored links above), then click "Add File" icon to import the PVR videos you want to add.
Click "Profile" and set the output format from the drop-down list. Choose "Apple Device"-->"iPad", or "iPad2", "new iPad HD", etc. if needed. After that, hit the big green "Start" button to begin the conversion. Save the converted videos to your desktop.
Plug your iPad/ iPad 2/New iPad/iPad Mini into the USB port of your computer and open iTunes, and wait for the iPad icon to mount on the left side of the Window. Thereafter, drag the converted videos from the desktop to iTunes and wait for it to upload to the video folder. At last, drag the videos from iTunes video folder to your iPad and eject the USB connection.
