Problem1: import AVI into FCE
I'm new into FCE and I have some AVI videos from my past times working with PC.I would like to convert the videos in some other format to work with them in FCE.Please, what is the best format and how can I do it?A friend told me to use Quicktime and convert them to Apple TV format? Is it a good thing or are there any better possibilities?

My boss gave me his "flip Video camera" (records in AVI) to edit some od his clips in FCE. Now, I already got the Xvid Codec componment so I can play the files in QT but is there any quick way around to convert these pesky AVI files to DV so I can import them in FCE? quick time pro?
