Problem 1: .mpg/final cut pro HELP
I am trying to edit a small video project in Final Cut Pro. It was shot with a Sony handcam. When i plug the camera in to my MacBook thru its USB, the camera is not recognized by FCP. It does come up as a drive, and I can view the files there. The files do not play in quicktime either, I can only view them through VLC player.
What can I do to get FCP to recognize the files so I will be able to edit them? FCP does not recognize the camera, and will not import the files. Quicktime says the file is not a movie.
Problem 2: Best way to import NXCAM .mpg to FCP
We made a few shots with the SONY NXCAM in SD 16:9 (PAL). What is the best way to import it to FCP? I have converted all the clips with MPEG StreamClip to DV-PAL .mov , is there a better way?
When I tried to import the clips to compressor it freezed :S
