HTC Desire S & iPhone 4, who is the King?

HTC Desire S is a perfect upgrading of original HTC Desire and is currently selling well on smartphones market with Samsung Galaxy S and iPhone. What charms does this Android Phone on earth? What does it have to take to compete with the Apple iPhone 4?

Display:
The HTC Desire S has a 3.7-inch SLCD display, slightly larger than the iPhone 4's 3.5in screen. Unlike the original Desire, which used an AMOLED screen, the Desire S has a Super LCD display; it is claimed to offer a clearer and brighter image, along with enhanced battery life compared to regular LCD screens, and with the display resolution of 480*960 pixel.
The display is a 3.5-inch, LED backlit IPS TFT number and offers a higher pixel ratio than any other device. Apple has named this pixel density 'retina display', although it's more technical jargon than anything else. It basically means you won't be able to clearly see any of the pixels. And the display resolution is 640*960.

HTC Desire S has a 5-megapixel rear camera that doubles as a 720p HD video recorder, a 1.3-megapixel front camera for video calls
iPhone 4 takes this to another level. It's a 5-megapixel snapper and features an LED flash for highlighting those dark moments and also re4cording in 720p.

Conclusion: But say the truth, the recording 720p video image and audio quality of iPhone4 is a little better, especially the audio difference of iPhone 4 is more absolute and Desire S image quality is a little inferior when upload their recording video to YouTube simultaneously.

Speed and performance
The iPhone 4 features a 1GHz ARM Cortex processor with a powerful PowerVR CPU and 512MB. It runs along smoothly, thanks to the lack of full multitasking, but we reckon it could suffer if Apple did ever introduce fully-charged multitasking.
The HTC Desire S does have the fullest experience of multitasking out of the two and handles the actions well. With a 1GHz Scorpion processor, it may not be as groundbreaking as the newer dual core device, but it cruises along nicely whether you have one or ten apps open.
